WRKQ (1250 AM) is an American radio station broadcasting a News Talk format.[1] Licensed to Madisonville, Tennessee, United States, the station is currently owned by Storm Front Communications, LLC.[2] WRKQ is a CBS News radio affiliate. 1250 WRKQ is the Authority for Monroe County Tennessee. The Goal of the station is to hyper-serve the local community. WRKQ has installed a 24-hour weather radar system and can track storm systems whenever and wherever. WRKQ's duty is to educate, entertain, and inform. With two local talk shows Rick and Company 6 to 9 am every weekday morning and Nick and the Drive Home 4 to 6 pm every weekday evening. WRKQ also is a carrier of national syndicated talk shows including Dana Loesche, Mike Gallgher, Chad Benson, Jim Bohanon, and John Grayson. The weekends are very entertaining they get away from the politics and news of the week by bringing life style shows that talk about golf, foods, wines, NASCAR, pets, and many many more things. WRKQ is the station to listen to if you are in the monroe county area anytime, any day, all week long.
