The WAFU Women's Cup is a women's association football competition that is supposed to be contested by home based national teams of the West African Football Union.
The first edition however was played in 2018 with eight teams including some foreign-based players.[1]
2018 edition
Eight teams were drawn in two groups of four. WAFU member teams were Ivory Coast, Niger, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, Mali and Senegal. Mail replaced Benin, who had withdrawn shortly before the tournament.[2]
