Vrushika Mehta (born 18 February 1994) is an Indian television actress and professional dancer.

Mehta made her debut with Channel V's popular dance based youth show Dil Dosti Dance as Sharon Rai Prakash. She went on to work in shows like Aasman Se Aage and Satrangi Sasural. She has been a part of various episodic shows like Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya and Twist Wala Love.

In 2016, she appeared in Star Plus's Ishqbaaaz as Ishana.

Life and family

Vrushika Mehta was born in Ahmedabad, India and brought up in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.[1] She has completed her graduation from Tolani College of Commerce.[2]

Career

Vrushika Mehta made her television debut with youth based dance show Dil Dosti Dance as Sharon Rai Prakash, a professional dancer opposite Shantanu Maheshwari.[3] Their chemistry turned out to be a huge hit and they went on to win the Indian Television Award for 'Viewers Choice Best Onscreen Couple'.

Later she featured in two episodes of Yeh Hai Aashiqui. In one episode she played the character of Ruksar Malik opposite Shantanu Maheshwari[4] and in the other she played the role of Twinkle.[5] She has also dubbed for some episodes Yeh Hai Aashiqui.[6] Later in 2015 she was a part of episodics like Zing's Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya and Zee TV's Fear Files. In Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya she played the role of a professional dancer Shanaya.[7] In Fear Files she played the role of Navanita.[8]

In 2015, she acted in the show Twist Wala Love opposite Rohan Gandotra as Amrita Prasad for five episodes.[9] In late 2015, she entered Satrangi Sasural as Kaira, an innocent and bubbly girl opposite Ravish Desai who was later replaced by Rahul Sharma.[10] In 2016, she hosted reality travel based show Desi Explorers Jordan.[11] In July 2016, she entered Ishqbaaaz as Ishana.[12] She played the role of Tamanna in Viu's Truth or Tamanna. Currently, She was about to play the role of Puchki in Zee TV's Yeh Teri Galiyan[13] but the makers decided not to bring her character early, so they delayed her character, due to this she backed out of the show.
