Volos New Football Club is a proffesional Greek football club, based in Volos, Magnesia, Greece. The club currently competes in the Football League, the second tier of the Greek football league system. Volos plays its home matches at the Neapoli Municipal Stadium.

History

In April 2017, there were aspirations for the creation of a new club based in Volos. Eventually, after talks, it was decided to absorbed Pydna Kitros and thus, Volos New Football Club was created, the official presentation of which was held on June 2.

The team, which took the position of Pydna Kitros in Gamma Ethniki for the 2017–18 season, began its preparation with significant transcriptional movements. Volos eventually won first place in Group 4 and 2nd in Group 1 of the Promotion Play-Offs, and they were promoted to the Football League.

Stadium

Volos' stadium is located in the Neapoli area in Volos, in particular at the end of Neapoli. Neapoli Municipal Stadium is constructed several years at this point, but in the summer of 2017 the Municipality of Volos refurbished it on behalf of Volos NFC who will later use it as a seat. It has a capacity of 2,500 tiers, while there is a shelter on the northwest side. It is reinforced with real turf (96x64m) and there is also an auxiliary for the needs of the academies. At the same time, around the stadium there is the possibility to practice the track athletes, as there are 6 corridors of 400 meters. There are two doors from which fans of the hosts and guests can enter. Inside the stadium there is a venue where the canteen is housed, as well as a closed gym. Outside the stadium one can park his vehicle as the parking can accommodate from 100 to 150 vehicles. In addition to Volos NFC, this course is provided by the Municipality of Volos for training and some matches of the amateur football teams of the EPST. Responsible for the construction and the allocation of the rights of the stadium is the Sports Directorate ΔΟΕΠΑΠΑ-ΔΗΠΕΘΕ-Municipality of Volos.
