Vladislav Ivanov Goranov (Bulgarian: Владислав Иванов Горанов), born 30 April 1977, is a Bulgarian politician, who is the Minister of Finance of Bulgaria as part of the Third Borisov Government from May 4, 2017.[1]

Career

Born in Pleven, Goranov graduated from the Mathematics High School "Geo Milev" in the city. He also earned a Master's in accounting and control from the "Dimitar Apostolov Tsenov" academy in Svishtov.[2]

On 7 November 2014, Goranov assumed his duties as Minister of Finance of Bulgaria, succeeding Rumen Porozhanov.[2]

Minister Goranov is a close ally of media mogul Delyan Peevski and is seen as a key channel of influence in the government. In 2012, photos of the two discussing government projects surfaced and led to calls for Goranov's ouster as deputy minister.
