Vittorio Zucconi

Vittorio Zucconi (Italian pronunciation: [vitˈtɔːrjo dzukˈkoːni], born 16 August 1944) is an Italian journalist and author. He also has U.S. citizenship.[1]

Early years and education

Born in Bastiglia, Province of Modena, Italy, Zucconi received a degree in literature and philosophy from the University of Milan.

Career

Zucconi is currently director of the online edition of the Italian newspaper "La Repubblica",[2] and he serves as the US correspondent for the same newspaper. He has previously been a reporter for the Italian daily newspaper "Corriere della Sera" from Moscow, and for "La Stampa" from Brussels and Tokyo.[3] Zucconi is also known for several appearances on TV shows as an editorialist. Since summer 2007, he has been teaching graduate classes on Italian history and journalism at Middlebury College in Vermont.[4] He received the America Award of the Italy-USA Foundation in 2015.

Personal life

Zucconi is married and has two children. He lives in Washington D.C..
