Vishv Books are primarily children’s books publishers with more than 2000 titles in English and Hindi wide variety of books for children: school textbooks and general books.

They publishes children Picture Story Books, Pop-ups, graded readers, Moral and Classic storybooks, activity books and Art & Craft Books. World Classics, Women focused books, Encyclopedias and Dictionaries. They have a complete range of school textbooks and other curriculum supportive books for Kindergarten to Class 8. Vishv Books is an associate company of Delhi Press.

History

Delhi Press was established by Vishwanath (1917-2002) in 1939. Vishwa nath was a visionary and freedom fighter.The company's first magazine was Caravan in 1940, and its flagship magazine was the Hindi-language Sarita (magazine) launched in 1945. Vishwanath was known for his stable of low-priced magazines that were aimed to the masses, such as Sarita, Saras Salil, Woman's Era, Champak, and Grihshobha.[1]

Rakesh Nath is Managing Director and publisher. From early age he had keen interest in the publishing of the magazines published by Delhi Press Group - Caravan and Sarita. By the age of 15 he was fully involved with the publishing and printing of these magazine and use to work after school. Later he was instrumental in setting up of some of the new magazines which have now become a success as well as setting up of world class printing presses at Ghaziabad, Sahibabad, Faridabad making Delhi Press one of the biggest printers of India.

His great grandfather prepared a New Hindustani English Dictionary in 1879 in collaboration of Dr S W Fallon to print the same dictionary Delhi Printing Works was established in 1913. That is why book publishing always fascinated him. To keep the book publishing intact he established Vishv Books in 1965 where he use to take out very few books every year. But after year 2003 this was converted into full-fledged company. Now he has authored 15 different type of dictionaries, edited around 40 books on Indology and published 2000 titles of wide variety of subjects like, Indology, fiction, health, self-improvement, dictionaries, children and school text books from pre-school to 8th class etc.

He is an Alumnus of Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi. Done Diploma in Journalism, Poona University, 1967. He has been President of Shri Ram College of Commerce Alumni Association & on the executive committee-sub committee of Delhi Factory Owners Federation, FICCI., Trustee of Pragyan School, Greater Noida among others.

Mudit Mohini Publisher, Editor and printer with Vishv Books: She has authored more than 100 children books and conceptualized about 1000 books. She was nominated for Indiamart- ET Now Leaders of tomorrow award in the category Woman entrepreneur of the year.
