Personal life and career

Vinod Raj is the son of known Kannada actor Dr. Rajkumar and actress Leelavathi. Dwarakish, an actor and producer, introduced Vinod Raj to the Kannada film industry. In his first two films, Vinod Raj acted in a side-role and later went on to work in several movies under his home banner. His dance moves in Dance Raja Dance, a Kannada dance movie, gained popularity on YouTube and were also used in Grand Theft Auto:III. Unlike other co-actors who ventured out for work in movies other than Kannada cinema, Vinod Raj chose to continue working in the Kannada film industry.[4]

Charity and philanthropy

Just like his mother Dr. Leelavathi, Vinod Raj has been involved in philanthropy. He was the only actor to donate to TV9 Kannada's Flood Relief Fund. He also joined Anna Hazare's movement supporting Jan Lokpal Bill against corruption.
