Vinod Lingala is an Indian film director and writer. He did his Masters in Practical Film making from MET Film School, London, UK. He then pursued his M.S in Global Innovation management in The University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, United Kingdom and University of Alborg, Alborg, Denmark and worked as a Product Design Engineer for Martin Professional A/S, Denmark before he started his film career as an associate director in Indian cinema. His directorial debut Telugu feature film Guppedantha Prema was well appreciated by critics and viewers alike.

Early life

Vinod Lingala did his schooling in Bishop Beretta High School. He pursued his B.Tech from Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science and later bagged a huge European Union Scholarship for Masters in Global Innovation management in the University of Strathclyde. He has done few private corporate films for the companies in UK and Denmark while he was working for Martin Professional A/S as a product design engineer.

In an interview with The Hindu,[1] the national newspaper he shares that he explored the world, travelling around nook and corner of his favorite 15 countries, learning and experiencing people, cultures, music, history, food and traditions which broadened his mind and created a unique vision.

Career

Coming back to India in pursuit of his film making dream, he joined Madhura Sreedhar, director and producer as an associate director for the film It's My Love Story and later worked as an assistant director Srikanth Addala for the film Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu starring Mahesh Babu and Daggubati Venkatesh. His directorial debut film, Guppedantha Prema, had a very good run in the multiplexes and A-center halls and had a reasonable viewership in the towns. Poetic nature of the film was well appreciated by the viewers.
