Victoria Morton (born 1971) is a Scottish artist who works in paint, sculpture and installation.[1]

Biography

Glasgow School of Art

Morton was born in Glasgow and trained at the Glasgow School of Art, GSA, from 1989 to 1993 and completed a Masters degree there in 1995. In 2016 Morton exhibited at Devils in the Making, Glasgow Gallery of Modern Art, alongside other artists who had trained at GSA. The exhibition recognised the contribution of the School to artistic life.[2] Also in 2016, Morton exhibited with Spoken Yeahs from a Distance at Sadie Coles HQ, London.[3] In 2014 she exhibited at The Modern Institute, Glasgow, and with Mouth Wave at the Rat Hole Gallery, Tokyo.

Morton has also exhibited at, among others, the following venues:

She was a member of the Glasgow performance collective, Elizabeth Go.[5]

In 2016 the McManus Galleries in Dundee acquired three of Morton's abstract works.[6]
