Vico Sotto
Victor Ma. Reyes Sotto, better known as Vico Sotto (born June 17, 1989) is a Filipino politician. He is the son of Philippine personalities Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes. He is currently a member of the Sangguniang Panlungsod (more commonly referred to as "City Council") of Pasig City .
Personal life
Sotto is the only child of actors Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes. On his father's side, he has four half-siblings, Danica Sotto-Pingris (married to Marc Pingris), Oyo Sotto (married to Kristine Hermosa), Paulina Sotto (married to Jed Llanes), and Talitha Sotto.[1] On his mother's side, he has two half-siblings, Lawrence "L.A." and Carla Mumar, both from Reyes' former husband, Larry Mumar.
His paternal great-grandfather is former Senator Vicente Yap Sotto.
Education
Sotto graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University with a major in political science.
Career
Sotto worked at the Sangguniang Panglungsod of Quezon City as a legislative staff officer in 2013-2015.[2]
Sotto then worked as a project associate at the Ateneo School of Government. He worked on two projects, namely, the Government Watch (G-Watch) and Political Democracy and Reforms (PODER).[3]
Sotto entered politics in 2016, running for the position of City Councilor (Member of the Sangguniang Panlungsod) in the first district of the highly urbanized city of Pasig. He got the highest number of votes, ranking first among the 6 winners from a total of 13 candidates for the position.[4][5]
