Vice Chief of the Naval Staff (India)

The Vice Chief of the Naval Staff (VCNS) is second in command of the Indian Navy. The office is held by a Three Star Officer in the rank of Vice Admiral. He is responsible for operation of naval related tasks. The current VCNS is Vice Admiral Ajit Kumar P who took over from Vice Admiral Karambir Singh on 30 October 2017.[1]
