Life and career

Career

In 1992 she debuted in the TV movie Dama koja ubija alongside Velimir Živojinović in the lead role. Vendi then devoted her time to music. Her debut album, Malo vruće, malo hladno was the year's second best selling album in Yugoslavia, after Dragana Mirković. After her maternity leave Vendi's popularity has been in a decline.[2] She has released five studio albums to date. Her best known songs include 'Uljez' (Intruder; 2007) and 'Praćnuo se šarančić' (Carp Splashed; 2004). Vendi also hosted her own talk show on TV Politik back in the 90s, wrote and starred in a theater play titled Vendi u Petkovim mukama, which gained popularity throughout Montenegro.[3] and is also working on a novel.[4]

Personal life

Vendi was allegedly romantically involved with Vojislav Šešelj. She has been married to former football player Branimir Banjac since 2001 with whom she has a daughter Nikoleta (2001).[5] She resides in Belgrade, Serbia.
