Verve Coffee Roasters is a coffee roaster based in Santa Cruz, California, founded by Colby Barr[1] and Ryan O'Donovan.[2] Verve opened in November, 2007[3] in Pleasure Point, California. The company currently operates in eight California-based locations,[4] four in Santa Cruz, three in Los Angeles, and one in San Francisco. They also have two locations in Japan: on at the Shinjuku, Tokyo train station and one in the Kanagawa Prefecture. Verve earned the highest score in the coffee category at the Good Food Awards in 2013[5] and was also named one of the top coffee roasters in the United States by Thrillist,[6] Complex Magazine,[7] and Food Republic [8]
