Venues of the 2006 Asian Games

The 2006 Asian Games, officially known as the XV Asiad, were held in Doha, Qatar from December 1 to December 15, 2006. A total of 13,000 athletes from 45 nations in the Asia competed in 424 in 39 sports. The games were the largest international multi-sport event to be staged in Doha and in Qatar.[1] Events took place at 21 competition venues. Other venues in the games included the Asian Games Village and the Main Media Center.[2]
