Vebjørn Sand

Vebjørn Sand (born March 11, 1966 in Bærum) is a Norwegian painter and artist. He is known for his paintings as well as his public arts projects, such as the Da Vinci Project, and the Kepler star monument (Norwegian Peace Star) at Oslo Airport, Gardermoen.[1]

Sand is the son of the painter Øivind Sand and attended the Waldorf School in Bærum.[2][3] He later studied at the Norwegian National Academy of Fine Arts, the Academy of Fine Arts, Prague and the Art Students League of New York.[4]

Sand painted the official portrait of Ole Petter Ottersen, the rector of the University of Oslo.[5]
