Valley Christian High School is a private Christian secondary school in San Jose, California that was established in 1960. As of 2011, the school principal is Mark A. Lodewyk.[1] As of the fall of 1999, the Valley Christian High School and Junior High School have been relocated to the Skyway Campus located in south San Jose after the reopening of Branham High School.[3]

Valley Christian School has two campuses in San Jose. An elementary school campus called "Leigh" and a Junior and Senior High School campus called "Skyway."[4]

The Skyway campus is home to the endangered Dudleya setchellii succulent plant[5] and students are part of the conservation program to protect the Santa Clara Valley dudleya and its beautiful blooms.

Athletics

Since its founding, Valley Christian has offered a wide variety of sports for its students, currently with over 53 different teams. The Warriors are the only non-Catholic members of the West Catholic Athletic League, which they joined in 2003.[6] The school mascot is the "warrior."

Conservatory

Valley Christian offers a four year study program into eight areas of the arts: Music, Visual Arts, Musical Theatre, Dance Arts, New Media Studies, Theatre Arts, Integrated Arts, and Theatrical Design and Technology. In 2011 a 55,000-square-foot Arts Conservatory building was built at the Skyway campus.[7]
