Valerie Smaldone

Valerie Smaldone is an American voice over artist and former radio personality. She is most known for her long tenure at New York radio station WLTW.

Career

Valerie Smaldone had begun her career as a voice over at the WFUV, a radio station of Fordham University, which she attended at the time. She then worked for WLTW for two years,[1] from which she was let go in 2008.[2] The first promo that she did was for WCBS-TV which was followed by over 1,000 promos for various companies and channels including CBS, Cinemax, HBO, Lifetime and NBC. Later one she recorded speech of Tipper Gore and narrated a program on Hillary Clinton which was aired on NBC.[1]

Her other notable roles include a news anchor in the movie Born in Flames and theatrical role as Kara Angelo, a character she created in the play she co-wrote, entitled Spit It Out![3]

Personal life

Valerie have a sister who is an oncologist. Valerie herself is an ovary cancer survivor with which she was diagnosed on April 30, 2001.[4]
