Uppi Rupee (Kannada: ಉಪ್ಪಿ ರುಪೀ) is an upcoming Indian Kannada language political thriller film directed by K. Madesh.[1] The film is produced and the story is written by Vijayalakshmi Urs.[2] It features Upendra and Rachita Ram in the lead roles along with Jagapati Babu, P. Ravishankar, Rangayana Raghu and Sharath Lohitashwa and saiteja salveru in key supporting roles.[3] The score and soundtrack for the film are by Sadhu Kokila and the cinematography is by Rajesh Katta. The film is based on the demonetization, black money and corruption prevailing in the society.[4]

The film was launched on 13 March 2017 in Bangalore and the filming took place in West Indies, Canada, Bangkok and Thailand.[5]. The film is scheduled to release in early 2018.
