Τhe University of Western Macedonia (UoWM; Greek: Πανεπιστήμιο Δυτικής Μακεδονίας) is a multi-campus university in Western Macedonia region of Greece.[1] [2] It was established on 2004 by four departments that had previously formed part of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.[3]
Faculties and departments
The University today consists of three Schools and six Departments, offering undergraduate and postgraduate study programmes.[4] [5]

Research
Research is conducted by graduate students and members of the faculty, as well as associated researchers.[12] [13]
Academic evaluation
In 2016 the external evaluation committee gave University of Western Macedonia a Positive evaluation.[14]
An external evaluation of all academic departments in Greek universities was conducted by the Hellenic Quality Assurance and Accreditation Agency (HQA).[15]
