The election to the United States House of Representatives in Florida for the 31st Congress was held October 2, 1848. This election was held at the same time as the election for Governor of Florida.

Background

In the 1846 election, Edward C. Cabell (W) was elected to represent Florida in the House of Representatives. Cabell had previously won a special election in 1845 but his victory in that race had been challenged. In 1846 his victory was certain.
