Results of the 1865 election in Ireland |
The 1865 British general election in Ireland was the first election contested by the new Liberal party. In Ireland the Liberals under Palmerston won a further 8 seats. Their share of the vote meanwhile declined.
Not included in the results is the University of Dublin constituency, which returned two Conservatives to parliament.
