The Ulurumyiidae are a monotypic family of Flies in the superfamily Oestroidea. It was erected in the same work in which the new Australian genus and species Ulurumyia macalpinei were first described, which are the only genus and species in this family. It is said to be clearly distinct from other oestroid families but its exact position within the superfamily could not be determined with certainty.[1]
