Ukraine selected its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 using a national selection that took place on 9 March 2007. The Ukrainian broadcaster announced that the selection was open and all of the performers who would like to participate should send in an application form. NTU selected eight performers and songs and decided the winner, "Dancing Lasha Tumbai" by Verka Serduchka, through a combination of jury and televote, where each component was weighted 50/50.

Serduchka finished in second place in the contest, behind winner Serbia.

At Eurovision

Ukraine automatically qualified to the grand final, because it was on the top 10 last year.Verka performed eighteenth. At the end of the voting Verka landed second with 235 points, getting 12 points from 5 countries:Andorra, Czech Republic, Latvia, Poland & Portugal.
