Ugrians in AD 500

The Ugrians[1][2] (Ουγγαροί) or Ugors, were the ancestors of the present Ob-Ugrians (Khanty & Manshi) and their languages show close relationship with the language of Hungarians (Magyars) of Hungary. Their languages belong to the Ugric branch of the Uralic languages.
