Uchar Hadji (Chechen: Уьчар Хьаж) was a Chechen old man who killed two Russian generals.[2]

In the summer of 1825, the Russian colonialists, led by the generals Grekov and Lisanevich, deceived the Chechen old men that Ermolov wanted to make peace with them and collected them in Gerzel-Aul. However, Ermolov did not come there. Instead, the old men began to disarm and humiliate. Obviously, they simply decided to kill them. Therefore, the generals behaved so shamelessly, grabbed the old men by their beards, insulted them. When one of the generals grabbed Ochar-Haji, a Chechen mullah, by the beard, he suddenly stabbed both generals with a dagger. After that, between the Chechen old men and the Russian troops a battle took place, during which the Chechens destroyed the entire garrison of the fortress.[3]
