Twinnie-Lee Moore is a British singer, songwriter, dancer and actress most notable for playing Porsche McQueen in Hollyoaks, as well as various other stage, tv and film performances. Moore is also a model and has a personal interest in fashion.[1]

Early life

Moore was born in York in 1991. She attended the Joseph Rowntree School in York. Her love for theatre was demonstrated at an early age when she began performing in pantomimes held at the Grand Opera House, York. She was given her first pair of red tap shoes from a girl she went to Park Grove School with. Following this, Moore then went on to join the theatre's Summer Youth Project, where she earned roles such as Bet in Oliver! and Lily in Annie. In 2002, Moore won her first leading role with the Summer Youth Project, cast as Dorothy Gale in the production of The Wizard of Oz.

Theatre

After completing her three-year course at Phil Winston's Theatre Works, Moore landed ensemble roles in We Will Rock You and Desperately Seeking Susan on the West End. She then earned the lead role as Ariel Moore in the 2008 tour of the musical Footloose. Moore then took part in Sean Peter's musical workshop, Everything's Fucked.

In 2009, Moore was cast as murderer Velma Kelly in the 2009/10 touring version[2] of the Kander and Ebb musical Chicago. She then appeared in A Chorus Line, which ran for ten days in May 2010 at the Lowry in Manchester.

After A Chorus Line, Moore then returned to her hometown of York, where she led three West End dance workshops for age groups 6 - 11 year olds, 12 - 21 year olds and 21 years old and above at York Dance Works.

Moore was cast as Jazmin[3] in Flashdance The Musical for its Shaftesbury Theatre production opening on October 2010.[4] Moore plays a Latina, one of three friends who dance in a club, who together "sing practically the whole show". It was later announced that Moore would not only understudy actress Victoria Hamilton-Barritt, who played lead Alex Owens, but would also perform as the lead every Saturday matinee.[5] According to an interview, the plan was for year-long contracts for all the original cast, and an original cast recording was also planned. However, the show closed on 15 January 2011.

Moore starred in the West End premiere of Rock of Ages in the ensemble and played the lead roles of Sherrie[6] and Justice on many occasions, which opened on 31 August 2011 at the Shaftesbury Theatre and left the production at cast change in September 2012

Film

Moore played Monica in the drama The Wife, alongside Glenn Close, Max Irons and Christian Slater.

In 2014, Moore played the part of Crazy Mary[7] in the movie Ironclad: Battle for Blood.[8]

Moore played Nikki Allcott in Doctors which aired on BBC One on 29 July 2013.[10]

In August 2014, it was announced that Moore would be joining the cast of Hollyoaks as Porsche McQueen.[11] She made her first appearance on 4 November 2014. The character highlighted the issues of sexual abuse in children, whilst her other storylines included a failed marriage when her husband had various affairs. Moore left her role in October 2015, with her exit scenes airing on 24 December 2015. Moore was nominated for an Inside Soap Award in 2015.[12]

As a dancer she has performed at Wembley Stadium at Capital's fm summer time ball dancing for The Wanted. She has performed with various artists on The X factor, Britains Got Talent, Strictly Come Dancing and Saturday Night Takeaway.

Music

Twinnie has performed with Robin Thicke, Pharrel, Bryan Adams, Bryan May, Roger Taylor, Micheal Bublé and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. She sang backing vocals for Jamie Lawsons album "Happy Accidents" and for the band "Inglorious"

One of Moore's songs has been recorded by German Pop Idol winners.. In 2015 Moore began streaming her debut single,[13]'Cool' on Soundcloud. "Cool" The single will be released to digital retailers on 29 January, with an EP following in February and a new music video.[14] On 17 February 2016, Moore played The Mint [15] in Los Angeles a world-famous venue that was established in 1937. On 6 November 2016, Moore performed Live at Zedel with her band and played many of the songs from her catalogue.[16] A song written by Twinnie & Ben Earl ‘Black and White’ was recorded by The Shires on the CD ‘Brave[17]

Moore signed a record deal with BMG Rights Management on August 23, 2017.[18]

In 2017 and 2018, she performed at the C2C: Country to Country festival where she was name one of the top ten acts to see by Rolling Stone Country.
