Turkish Regional Jet (TRJ) is an ongoing project to procure Turkey's first regional airplane. The project uses a modified version of the Dornier 328 (the intellectual property for which is owned by SNC), the TRJ-328 and TRJ-628.[1][2]

TRJ-328

The TRJ-328 will be used as a test bed for the TRG-628. Capacity is limited to 32 seats. The aircraft will fill direct and frequent flights to and from small cities in Turkey which are not currently possible with larger aircraft.[1]

TRJ-628

The TRJ-628 will features 60 to 70 seats and will be an overall larger airplane.[1]
