Tunku Sarafuddin Badlishah Ibni Sultan Sallehuddin is the current Raja Muda of Kedah. Tunku Sarafuddin was proclaimed as Raja Muda on 26 November 2017, upon the accession of his father, Sultan Sallehuddin ibni al-Marhum Sultan Badlishah as the 29th Sultan of Kedah.[1]

Biography

Tunku Sarafuddin Badlishah was born in 1967, the eldest son of Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah and Sultanah Maliha Tengku Ariff to survive infancy. Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah was the seventh son of the Sultan of Kedah,Tunku Badlishah and Sultanah Asma, the Sultanah of Kedah. Tunku Sarafuddin has one younger brother, Datuk Tunku Shazuddin Ariff, who is the current Tengku Laksamana Kedah.

Tunku Laksamana Kedah

Tunku Sarafuddin previously became the Tunku Laksamana of Kedah before being proclaimed as the Raja Muda of Kedah. He was succeeded as Tunku Laksamana by his younger brother, Tunku Shazuddin Ariff.[2]

Personal life

Tunku Sarafuddin is married to commoner Zaheeda Mohamad Ariff, who became the Raja Puan Muda of Kedah in 2017. The couple have two children, Tunku Zara Bahiyah and Tunku Sulaiman Badlishah.[3]
