Tristin Norwell is a British music composer, producer, arranger, and musician best known for his film and television scores and record production.

He recorded Noel Gallagher's tenth Number one album "Who Built The Moon",[1][2] and previously co-produced the Talvin Singh,[3] album "O.K." which won the 1999 Mercury Music Prize. He worked on records for Neneh Cherry,[4] Ryuichi Sakamoto, Madonna, Warrior Charge and Tricky amongst many others.

Writer of music for long running tv series including Waterloo Road,[5] Drop Dead Gorgeous,Wild at Heart, John Hurt's Whistle and I'll Come to You,[6] the supernatural ghost story written by M.R. James, Kenneth Williams: Fantabulosa! starring Michael Sheen, Meera Syal's novel Life Isn't All Ha Ha Hee Hee, and David Tennant's Recovery. The road film Hellbent (2018) and two John Hardwick feature films Svengali starring Jonny Owen and Martin Freeman[7] and "Follow The Money". Other documentaries include "Trouble Abroad",[8] and [9] Yotam Ottolenghi's "Jerusalem On a Plate".[10]

He also worked for David Holmes on the 2018 series Killing Eve, the 2015 Ivor Novello winning Yann Demange film '71 [11] and the 2016 Ivor winning "London Spy", and for Adrian Corker on the Tim Roth series "Tin Star (2017)".

Mal Influence (2015)

In October 2014, Norwell released his solo debut Mal Influence, on his Cinefonietta Label, an experimental album melding his classical influences with electronica.[12] Critiques have described it "as tough and breakable as glass...somewhere between chamber pop, the ambience of quieter Aphex Twin" [13] and that "it never adds up to anything less than compelling" [14]
