Towards a natural system of organisms: proposal for the domains Archaea, Bacteria, and Eucarya is a paper published in 1990 in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America.[1] The paper was co-written by Carl Woese, Otto Kandler and Mark Wheelis.[1] The paper was significant in establishing Three-domain system as current scientific consensus.
