"Touch Me" is a 1989 song by Italian group 49ers.

Release

It was released on 4 December 1989 as the third single from the album, 49ers. The song was the first of four hits on the American dance charts for the 49ers. The single spent two weeks at number one and a total of eleven weeks on the dance chart.[1] The song reached number 3 on the UK Singles Chart.[2] The Italo house song samples Aretha Franklin's "Rock-A-Lott" and Alisha Warren's "Touch Me".

Critical reception

Music & Media wrote about the song: "Storming dance material with house rhythm and loads of samples. Definitely a record with chart and dance floor potential. Listen up."[3]
