The Tonnage Tour was a 2017 concert tour by American Rock band ZZ Top.[1] The tour was announced on October 24, 2016 and consisted of 87 shows, including performances in the United States, Canada and Europe with the European tour being dubbed as the "Metric Edition". The tour was in support of their Tonight at Midnight: Live Greatest Hits from Around the World album which was due to release while on tour. "It’s gonna be a good time," frontman and guitarist Billy Gibbons assures fans. "We’ve been at this long enough that we’re starting to get good. Come and see us; it’s gonna be loud and live."[2] The tour would feature a guest appearance from Gibbons' guitar tech Francis Elwood playing the lap steel guitar during the performance of Buck Owens Act Naturally. Also the tour would feature Dusty Hill switching from bass to keyboard.
