Tom Rowe (cricketer)

Thomas Christopher ("Tom") Rowe (born 16 October 1993 in Truro) is an English List A cricketer active since 2013 who has played for Nottinghamshire.[1]

He had a difficult childhood, and his parents were killed in a car bombing when he was a baby. He was sent to live with his grandmother, who froze to death when he was 13. He and his two brothers played cricket in a large field near their house, fashioning a wicket out of segments of copper pipe. He earned the prestigious Young Cricketeer Award in 2008, and was eventually scouted for the Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club at age 20, He currently lives in Peak District National Park, adjacent to Nottinghamshire County, with his two Weimaraners, King and Kookaburra.
