Tom Pecora (born January 21, 1958) is an American college basketball coach and most recently the head men's basketball coach at Fordham University.[1] Born in Queens Village, New York, he graduated from Adelphi University in 1983.
Pecora was promoted to the position of head coach at Hofstra University, taking over for Jay Wright, where he coached from 2001 to 2010 and his record was 155–126.[1][2] Pecora took over as the permanent replacement after Fordham fired Dereck Whittenburg during the 2009-10 season but failed to find any success, losing twenty or more games in four of his five seasons. He was fired following the 2014-15 season.
On March 28, 2017, Pecora was hired as associate head coach at Quinnipiac under new head coach Baker Dunleavy.[3]
