Tomás Alejandro Chancalay (born 1 January 1999) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a forward for Colón.[1]

Career

Club

Chancalay began his career with Arsenal de Viale, prior to joining Colón in 2006.[2] The 2017–18 Argentine Primera División campaign saw him promoted into the club's senior squad, with the forward making his professional debut on 26 August 2017 during a league draw with Rosario Central.[1][3] In his next appearance, on 8 September, Chancalay scored his first senior goal as Colón beat Arsenal de Sarandí away from home.[1] He netted further goals against San Martín and Godoy Cruz in twenty-four total appearances in his first season as Colón qualified for the 2019 Copa Sudamericana.[1]

International

Chancalay was selected by the Argentina U20s for the 2018 COTIF Tournament, but was later removed after Colón chose to withdraw him.[4] He had previously trained with the U20s, including against the seniors at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.[5]
