Separation from Japan Baptist Convention
In 2015, the church separated from Japan Baptist Convention and became an independent Japanese religious corporation.[1]
Worship Service
Now, the church perform worship activities in English (Japanese subtitles) six times a week (Friday once, Saturday once, Sunday 4 times).
History
- 1958 - Tokyo Baptist Church pre-founded as an international group by W.H. "Dub" Jackson, Jr.
- 1964 - Tokyo Baptist Church became the 101st member of the Japan Baptist Convention.
- 1990 (until current) - Dennis G. Folds became Senior Pastor.
- 2015 - Tokyo Baptist Church deviated from Japan Baptist Convention, and became an independent Japanese religious corporation (Corporate Number (Japan): 9011005002724[1]).
