Tishnagi Dil Ki (Eng; Thirst of Heart) is a Pakistani romantic drama serial that aired on Geo Entertainment, and is written by Seema Munaf. It is produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi and directed by Asim Ali.[1][2] The serial was popular and gained high ratings.
Serial marked the third joint appearance of Azfar Rehman and Anum Fayyaz together after Parvarish and Intezaar on ARY Digital and A-Plus Entertainment respectively.
Plot
The series is about an innocent young woman named Taban and her love for Zuhair. Both were planning to get married but suddenly Taban's father faces a business collapse and his friend Ausaf Kiyani takes advantage of his situation and offers financial support in return for marrying Taban. Taban obeys her father and marries Kiyani but then her father and brother die in a car accident. After a few months, Kiyani dies of a heart attack but before his death he passes Taban to his friend Khalid who was actually Zuhair's Taaya.
Zuhair thought that Taban had betrayed her and married to a wealthy person because of money and got diffident but when his Taaya bring her to their house he was broken seeing her.He didn't tell anyone about their past.His family members accept Taban but his mother and khaala didn't like her as they thought that she isn't a girl of good character.Zuhair for making Taban jealous got ready to marry her cousin Natasha.But after few days misunderstandings between Zuhair and Taban cleared and they told everything truth.Natasha after realizing her deafeat try to takes her life but didn't succeed.
On Zuhair's and Taban wedding night, a man named Anwar came and claim that Taban is her fiancé by showing Zuhair's family fake nikah papers and took Taban with himself.This was the conspiracy of Natasha and her mother Naima.From Anwar's house Taban got into the hands of Ausaf's son who was searching her for getting his fathers property from her which Ausaf handed over her.Sheharyar and his father searches for Taban but didn't find her.There Natasha's mother truth came in front of all family members when the man who falsely claims Taban to be her fiance exposes Naiam.There Taban was suffering from torture but soon Sheharyar found him and took her to his home.Taban was out broken that Zuhair's never trust her.Zuhair's ask forgiveness but she didn't forgive him than Zuhair decided to leave the country but when he was leaving for the airport Taban came and ask him to stay forever with her.

- Javed Shaikh (Ausaf, aged business man and Tabans father friend.Taban helplessly married her because her father faces business collapse and become a defaulter person and lost everything.Ausaf took advantage of that and offer Taban marriage proposal.He was already married having a son of Taban's age.Taban has no other option to save her father disgrace so she accept his proposal but after few months of marriage he died of heart attack).
- Kinza Hashmi (Natasha, Antagonist and arrogant, egocentric girl who wants to get Zuhair by fair or foul means.She doesn't have respect for any one even after marrying to Zuhair she disrespect his mother).
- Yasir Shoro (Sheharyar, Zuhair's Cousin who helps Taban in her every difficult time and supported her after she came in Zuhair's home as maid.He was engaged to Natasha's sister Meena).
- Mohsin Gilani (Tabans father who died in a sudden car accident.Forcibly on Taban's wish he get ready to married her to his friend otherwise he don't have any lust for money).
- Shaista Jabeen (Zuhair's mother who wants her son to marry Natasha. She hated Taban as she became the center of talk of all his family members).

- Sabiha Hashmi (Zuhair Daadu.Zuhair loved her and always obeyed her.She knows Taban is innocent and inculpable girl so she plays an important role in patch up of Zuhair and Taban).
- Beena Chaudhary (Ausaf's first wife and a greedy lady, who wants Ausaf's property which he handed over Taban before his death).
- Shahvaar Ali Khan (Ausaf's son and cruel person who torture Taban to told him truth that where she had hidden his father's property).
- Arsalan Raja (Anwar, evil guy who helps Natasha's mother in her plans).
- Fahima Khan (Ausaf's son wife who is a kind lady.She helped Taban in escaping from his husband's occupancy.Later she justified herself and told her husband that God haven't blessed us with an off set because you are a cruel man who is torturing a lady for sake of property.She shows her positive character in her serial).

Location
Drama is shooted in the north,in the deep valleys and mountains of Pakistan.This romantic saga picturized at scenic Murre and Nathia Gali.Few scenes also shooted in Karachi.
Talking to Hip, Azfar explained about his experience for shooting serial in Muree.He said "Even though our team was very accommodating and professional,my experience shooting up north was not as colorful as I had expected.Basically the locals there weren't very facilitating and gave us a tough time shooting". It seems the location have caused slight problems that ended up as a not so pleasant experience on a whole.
Release
The drama was first aired on 8 March 2017, at Wednesday and Thursday night at 9:00 P.M.After while due to Ramadan its timing changed to Friday 10:00 P.M and ended on 17 July 2017 post Eid.
