Tijdschrift voor economische en sociale geografie is a peer-reviewed academic journal published five times annually by Wiley-Blackwell on behalf of the Royal Dutch Geographical Society. The title is translated on the cover (but not on the website) as Journal of Economic and Social Geography, with "sociale geografie" the common Dutch term for human geography as a whole rather than the subfield of social geography.

The journal was established in 1910, making it the oldest journal in human geography.[1] The journal focuses on contemporary issues in human geography, with articles relating to economic, social, cultural and political geographical themes.

According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2016 impact factor of 1.122, ranking it 46th out of 79 journals in the category "Geography" and 140th out of 347 journals in the category "Economics".[2][3] Editor-in-chief is currently prof. Frank van Oort of Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
