Tierra Whack

Tierra Whack is a 23-year-old artist and rapper from North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During her childhood, she performed as Dizzle Dizz before reverting to her birth name.[1]

She is currently signed to Interscope Records and performed at the Pitchfork Music Festival.

Debut album

Her debut album, Whack World, received a "Best New Music" accolade from Pitchfork. Critics praised the unusual format of the album – 15 short but creative songs that are each exactly 1 minute long, making for a total album length of just 15 minutes, released in conjunction with a 15-minute video. The latter was directed by Thibaut Duverneix and Mathieu Léger.[1] It also received acclaim. Robert Christgau gave the album an A-minus and reported in Vice that his wife, fellow critic Carola Dibbell, loved the video, saying "it gave me reason for living".[2]
