Tiago do Vale (Portuguese pronunciation: [tjˈa.gu du vˈa.lɘ]) is a Portuguese architect. He heads the architectural practice Tiago do Vale Architects.

Background and education

Do Vale was born in 1978 in the north of Portugal. He enrolled in the University of Coimbra's Department of Architecture in 1996 studying, among others, under Fernando Távora and Gonçalo Byrne. He went on to integrate the University of Coimbra's managing bodies, both as a Senator and as an Assembly Member.

Postgraduate on Advanced Studies in Architectural Heritage by the Porto School of Architecture.

Career

Tiago do Vale regularly lectures and writes about architectural matters.[1]

Do Vale was curator of the 2014's "Urban Dialogues, International Architecture Congress", in Portugal; the 2015 "Mesturas, International Architecture Encounters", in Spain; the 2016 "Mesturas II, International Architecture Encounters", in Portugal; and the 2017 "Mesturas III, International Architecture Encounters", in Spain.[2][3][4][5]

He was juror for the 2016 and 2017 DAS Awards in Moldavia, and for the 2016 and 2017 editions of the João de Almada Award in Portugal.[6][7]
