Thomas M. Achenbach

Thomas M. Achenbach (born 1940) is a Professor of Psychiatry, Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Children Youth and Families at the University of Vermont. He received his B.A. from Yale University in 1962, and his Ph.D. at the University of Minnesota in 1966.[1][2] He developed the Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL) a widely used standardized measure in child psychology for evaluating maladaptive behavioral and emotional problems in preschool subjects aged 2 to 3 or in subjects between the ages of 4 and 18.[3] He is also responsible for the Achenbach System of Empirically Based Assessment (ASEBA).
