Thingyan Moe (Burmese: သင်္ကြန်မိုး, English: Rain in the Water Festival) is a 1985 Burmese film directed by Maung Tin Oo and starring Nay Aung, Zin Wine, Khin Than Nu and May Than Nu in pivotal roles. The movie follows the life of a musician from 1959 to 1982, with many of the scenes set against traditional Thingyan celebrations.This movie contain Mandalay's beautiful nature and showing two different age of Thangyan festival. Mandalay Citizen help to become this movie and they did not accept any cost.They only want to show their city's culture and historical places. [1]

Plot

Thingyan Moe is the story of Thingyan. Story begans with a poor pianist Nyein Maung and Khin Khin Htar, a wealthy teen girl of Mandalay. Despite the difference between them, they fell in love deeply as so Nyein Maung was asked to elope Htar but failed as his pupil's mother was sick and he headed to hospital with them instead. As per Nyein Maung's absence, Htar was brought back by her mother and forced to accept arrange marriage.Htar ask Nyein Maung 'Nat Ko To Chit tha mya' song at her wedding ceremony. After htar's wedding ceremony,Neing Maung drink many alcohol and destroy his life.When he is fell in sleep,he dream Htar giving money to him.He thought Htar leave him because of money. After several months later, Nyein Maung marry Mya Khet.Then it turn into studio musical age.
