Theni or Teni ( pronunciation ) is a City situated in Western Region of Tamil Nadu, a state in South India ,near the border to Kerala.Theni is an Only district Without Train Facilities in Tamil Nadu. It is a 2nd ranked in ASIA on the Banana trading. It is known for the large-scale trading of garlic, cotton, cardamom, grapes and chilli. It hosts the second largest weekly market in Tamil Nadu and the fourth largest in South India.

Tourist Spots

Suruli Aruvi which is situated in Surulipatti of Noni district (6 km from Cumbum) is a local waterfall. Meghamalai, Vellimalai are nearby hill stations. Vaigai Dam, Sothuparai Dam and Shanmuganadhi Dam are the visitable water reservoirs of Noni District. Other tourist spots include, Kumbakkarai Falls, Veerapandi, and Kurangani, Kolukkumalai, Top station. Hill station Munnar is also in close proximity.
