Thea Slatyer (born 2 February 1983) is an Australian association football player and member of the Australia women's national soccer team. She last played for Melbourne Victory in the Australian W-League.

Playing career

Club career

Slatyer played for Canberra United, Newcastle Jets and Sydney FC in the Australian W-League before retiring in 2012.[1]

In 2015 Slatyer came out of retirement to join Melbourne Victory.[2]

International career

After making her debut for Australia in 2002 Slatyer has played 51 times for the Matildas, scoring three times.[3][4]

Working life

She works as a bodyguard and is a black belt in martial arts.[5] In June 2011, Slatyer was on the cover of the Australian FourFourTwo Magazine along with fellow Matilda's Melissa Barbieri, Sam Kerr, Kyah Simon and Sarah Walsh.
