The Vampires is an Australian jazz band formed by Jeremy Rose (alto-saxophone), Nick Garbett (trumpet), Alex Masso (drums) and Mike Majkowski (bass) in 2004.[1] In 2008 they released their debut album, South Coasting, with Shannon Barnett guesting on trombone. Alex Boneham replaced Majkowski on bass and in 2010 they released Chellowdene with Barnett guesting on trombone and Fabian Hevia on percussion. Garfish (2012) and Tiro (2013) followed, the latter also featuring Barnett and Hevia. In 2017 they released The Vampires meet Lionel Loueke which was recorded with Lionel Loueke. This album was nominated for the 2017 ARIA Music Award for Best Jazz Album.
