The Trent is an Internet newspaper that offers news, opinions, and lifestyle content. It was founded in 2013 by Aziza Uko, who serves as its president and executive editor. It is owned by Ziza Concepts and Brands Limited, a company founded in 2009 by Ms. Uko and her business associates.
The news site offers news, opinion editorials blogs and covers politics, sports, business, entertainment, world events, religion, crime, popular culture, media, odd news, causes, and lifestyle. Under its lifestyle content, it offers healthy living, love and relationships, career, business tips, intimate matters, homes and living, beauty, and dining.
The Trent is an independent newspaper and pushes a centrist political stance. In September 2015, following an attack on the newspaper's publisher by the Nigerian presidency, the editorial board published an editorial stating that it will never be bought by special interest groups. [1] [2]
