The Tale of Shim Chong
The Tale of Shim Chong is a Korean folk story.[1] Simcheongga is the pansori (traditional musical storytelling) of the tale.[2] It was adapted on screen by Shin Sang-ok twice, once in South Korea in 1972,[3] and as The Tale of Shim Chong in 1985 when he and his wife Choi Eun-hee were abducted to North Korea.[1]
