The Opera Studio Melbourne
The Opera Studio Melbourne is a not-for-profit, independent training organisation for aspiring opera singers, and répétiteurs based in Melbourne, Australia. Founded in 2008 as The Opera School Melbourne,[1] as of 2010 its staff include Linda Thompson (Artistic Director, former head of voice at Monash University),[2] Andrea Katz (Inaugural Head of Music 2008-2011), and Cameron Menzies (Head of Direction).[3][4] The school changed its name to The Opera Studio Melbourne in late 2010.
Productions
The studio regularly presents opera to the public, including shorter works,[5][6] "mini-festivals"[7] and major productions.
