The Kindergarten Teacher (Hebrew: הגננת) is a 2014 film by Israeli writer and film director Nadav Lapid. The New York Times called it, "self-assured, remarkably powerful."[2][3] The Kindergarten Teacher won the $20,000.00 prize for new talent at the Taipei Film Festival.[4] The lead actress Sarit Larry received the IFFI Best Actor Award (Female): Silver Peacock Award at the 45th International Film Festival of India.[5] There has since been an American remake with the same name, The Kindergarten Teacher (2018 film).
